Message: I am not sure if you can buy them but, there is a recipe for them in the "Better Homes & Gardens" 3 ring cookbooks. It's in the dessert section.
In case you don't have one of those famous cookbooks, here's the recipe.
Cream Puffs
½ c. margarine or butter
1 c. water
1 c. all-purpose flour
4 eggs
**Pudding, whipped cream, ice cream, sherbet or Fresh Fruit
Powdered sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 400º
In a medium saucepan combine margarine or butter, one cup water, and 1/8 t. salt. Bring to boiling. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously. Cook and stir till mixture forms a ball that doesn't separate. Remove from heat. Cool 10 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating with a wooden spoon after each addition till smooth.
Drop batter by heaping tablespoons 3 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in a 400º oven for 30-35 minutes or till golden. Cool on a wire rack. split puffs and remove any soft dough from inside. Fill with your choice of filling. Replace top and cover with powdered sugar or Sanders hot fudge :)

Message: I have never found them in a store, but I never looked into special ordering them. I have made these puffs many times. They are good, even plain. I was born in the Det. area and have been moving north over the years. Now, I am in Mid Michigan.
